AirManager Marine recently sponsored a vintage Porsche 928 Sport in the 2010 Mallorca Rally. Lee McGuire of LM Group and Simon Drew from MY Lady Dahlia drove the Porsche to a respectable 18th place in their first attempt at the 3 day event through some of the islands most gruelling terrain and infamous hairpin bends. The 26 year old Porsche stood up to the task admirably with only two minor breakdowns.
“This has been one of the most amazing experiences of my life!” Lee exclaimed as he parked the Porsche at the finish line on the Paseo Maritimo – hands and face covered in oil – to be greeted by his family and friends. The classic rally has a tremendous following and was even featured in an episode of Top Gear last year. With participants from around the world getting the chance to race their beloved old cars for charity. Air Manager were proud to be part of this event and contributed to raise funds and awareness for Help For Heroes in the process.

We recently exhibited a range of products for the first time at the Miami International Boat Show through 11 – 15 February. Although the Air Manager system is fast becoming recognised as an industry innovation in air sterilization throughout Europe; Air Manager Marine wanted to bring this unique and highly effective technology to the attention of the white boat sector in the USA.

We generated a great deal of interest amongst the yachting industry in America and moreover the cruise ship sector too! One of the main cruise line operators based in Miami currently involved in testing our cutting edge equipment were keen to implement Air Manager throughout its casino´s and smoking bars.

The sanitation and environment officer aboard the ship expressed concerns for the comfort of non smokers in certain areas which allowed smoking. Air Manager quickly demonstrated its ability to remove tobacco odours and clear the ambient air within the cigar lounge much to the delight of the cruise ship operators.

Lee McGuire stated; “Once implemented we fully expect the rest of the fleet to follow suit and then the rest of the cruise ship industry soon after. This is possibly the largest project we have undertaken with Air Manager and we are very excited to be involved in this.”

Also whilst in Miami to strengthen our presence in America and the Caribbean, we began discussions regarding a distribution agreement with a company based in Tampa, FL. So watch this space for more news on the formal announcement of Air Manager America!

The show also reunited many old acquaintances in the industry and made many new ones too! We will certainly be back again next year, this has truly been a remarkable event for us and represents a huge breakthrough into the American marketplace.
